Rachel Hunt
Editor-in-Chief

Rachel is a fourth year student majoring in Art History and English with a minor in Studio Art. During high school, she decided to dedicate her life to the arts rather than psychology, realizing she probably needed to hire a shrink rather than become one. Rachel is a fourth generation Clevelander and pulls a great amount of her inspiration from the Rust Belt mentality. She uses a Nikon D80, a Pentax 35mm film camera, and a Polaroid from the thrift store: humble instruments, but they get the job done. In addition to the Review, Rachel is the PR Director at WRUW 91.1 FM as well as a A&E Editor and a staff photographer for Case’s campus newspaper, The Observer. She enjoys poets such as Anne Sexton and William Carlos Williams. Her favorite book is Jesus’ Son by Denis Johnson.

Parker CastleberryParker Castleberry
Layout Editor

Parker is currently a sophomore at Case, and spent two years publishing the equivalent of the Review at his high school. Though he is a biochemistry major and lover of all things science, he still finds the time to write — science fiction, of course. His favorite authors include H.G. Wells, J.D. Salinger, and George Orwell. When he’s not writing or thinking about RNA, Parker enjoys climbing the beautiful mountains in his home state of Colorado, creating 3D animations on his computer, playing with Legos, and acting in the occasional play.

Grace EderGrace Eder
Photo Editor

Grace is a third year Chemistry B.S. major and photography minor at Case. When she’s not busy synthesizing complex molecules, she enjoys looking at and taking photos, in both digital and black & white film. She doesn’t know much about writing, but is a big fan of Kurt Vonnegut, Aldous Huxley and George Orwell. And when it comes to favorite photographers, there are just too many to list!

Yue QiYue Qi
Assistant Editor

Yue is a third-year economics major and the newest member of the Case Reserve Review staff. A Shanghai native, Yue’s prize-winning writing and photography draws from her diverse cultural and musical background and has been regularly published in the CRR. Along with our other assistant editors, she is responsible for reviewing submissions and helping to organize events. Her favorite prose is Eighteen Springs by Eileen Chang, and her other favorite authors include Stendhal, Vincent Fang, and Albert Leung.

Sarah Jawhari
Assistant Editor

Sarah is a third-year chemistry major at Case with a minor in English, following the pre-dental track. She hopes to become an orthodontist in order to fix faces for a living. A closet literary enthusiast, she finds human anatomy and foreign languages to be the greatest source of inspiration for her work – the combination of these justifies her obsession with the mouth and face. She finds prose-poetry especially delicious and has published flash fiction and prose-poems throughout high school and college; she is also responsible for the revival of The Phoenix, Lakewood High School’s literary magazine in Lakewood, Ohio, that she is proud to say is still functional today, three years after her graduation. She is fond of Ntozake Sange’s For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf and Tenaya Darlington’s collection of poems, entitled Madame Deluxe.
